Gutmann Private Bankers launches the charitable initiative "Aufwärts mit Herz" for Caritas Austria.

Gutmann has been committed to the Caritas Immanuel Mother and Child House for over 20 years. As part of the long-standing partnership, a campaign is now being initiated for the construction of an urgently needed lift.

Since 2002, Gutmann has supported the Caritas Immanuel Mother and Child House, where homeless women and their children find a temporary home and comprehensive support. Over the past 22 years or so, this facility has provided 444 mothers and 713 children with temporary accommodation in crisis situations. As part of our long-standing partnership, we are now helping to fund the construction of an urgently needed lift.

At present, access to the 20 mother and child apartments is via stairs. This is particularly difficult for small children and people with physical disabilities. The planned elevator should make everyday life easier from 2025/2026 and generally improve accessibility in the building.

Adolf Hengstschläger, CEO and partner of Bank Gutmann, emphasizes: "It is our responsibility to improve the living conditions of the socially disadvantaged in our society. "Aufwärts mit Herz" contributes to this and will significantly improve the quality of life of the children and mothers at Haus Immanuel." Gutmann is responsible for organizing the funding. This comes partly from the company's own funds, partly from employee donations and partly from the current donation initiative.

Gutmann and Caritas&Du - everyone can help

"In our mother and child houses, mothers and their children in need find a temporary home - a safe place and lots of support to help them stabilize again after a difficult phase in their lives. The new elevator in Haus Immanuel will enable our residents to better manage their daily tasks in the house, such as carrying shopping, children's things or baby carriages. Many thanks to Bank Gutmann for this support," adds Caritas Director Klaus Schwertner.

Clementine Rath, manager of Immanuel House, emphasizes the importance of the project: "The new elevator is a great relief for our residents, who already have to cope with a challenging everyday life due to work, household chores, visits to the authorities and caring for their own children."
Every financial contribution helps to make life easier for the families at Immanuel House. We have already been able to implement many things, and together we can certainly go the extra mile.
